Privacy Policy

What we store

• Account basics: email, display name, timezone, plan.
• Your commitments and daily check-ins, including the trigger you pick when you slip.
• Weekly review notes — the structured summary, not a recording.
• AI supervision messages generated for you.

What we never store

• Human voice reviews are not recorded. Only structured notes remain.
• AI reviews are text-only, so there is no audio at all — nothing is captured, nothing to delete.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use your check-in history for advertising.

What a matched partner can see

Only your current commitment and your recent check-in results, plus a nickname. Never your email, full name, notes, or any other member's information. Partners are matched by timezone and language, and you can be re-matched at any time.

Third parties that process data for us

• Paddle — payments, invoices and tax handling.
• LiveKit — real-time voice transport for weekly reviews (audio only).
• Kit (ConvertKit) — the optional mailing list and the free planner delivery.
• AI model providers — generate clauses, supervision messages, and weekly summaries from your data.
• Resend — transactional email such as sign-in links and reminders.
• Hosting and analytics providers — application hosting, error tracking, and product usage metrics.

How long we keep it

• AI reviews are text-only, so no audio is ever captured. Human voice reviews are never recorded either.
• Promises, check-ins, weekly notes and AI supervision messages are kept while your account is open — that history is the product.
• Payment records are kept by our payment processor as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your controls

• Turn human reviews off and use AI only, at any time.
• Export everything we hold about you as a JSON file from settings.
• Downgrading keeps your history — it is never deleted as a downgrade side effect.

Deleting or erasing your account

Settings gives you two separate choices, and they do not do the same thing:

• Delete account revokes every session, unsubscribes your devices, and replaces your email address, name, nickname and password with non-identifying values. Your promises, check-ins and review notes stay in our database attached to that anonymised record, because our week-over-week statistics are built on them — they can no longer be traced back to you, but they are not erased.
• Erase everything permanently deletes your promises, check-ins, weekly records, reviews, AI messages and milestones. Choose this one if you want your data gone rather than anonymised.

Erasing leaves exactly one record behind: an audit entry saying that an account was erased, containing no name, email or content. If you were ever a paying member, the subscription facts we need for tax and accounting — plan, status, dates, and the payment processor's identifiers, with no personal details — are kept inside that entry, because our books and our payment processor's records have to agree. We cannot erase an account while a subscription is still active: cancel it first, so that we never delete your data and keep charging you.

Either way, use the export above first. Erasing cannot be undone and we cannot recover it for you. You can also write to us and we will carry out a deletion or erasure request for you by hand.

We answer privacy requests within 30 days. Writing from the email on your account helps us verify it is really you.

Safety

If your notes suggest a risk of harm to yourself or others, we may surface crisis resources. We do not share your entries with third parties for marketing purposes under any circumstances.
